Join me and the Kendrik McKinney Trio at OKC’s Round Midnight as we celebrate one of the greatest musical collaborations of the 20th century. The record “Very Tall” is a masterpiece of mid-20th century straight ahead jazz. The auspicious meeting of vibraphone virtuoso Milt Jackson and the explosive Oscar Peterson on piano is one of a kind. It is made only more special by the bolstering of the inimitable rhythm section of Ray Brown and Ed Thigpen. It is, has been, and always will be one of my desert island records.
